Been going here for 15 years. Always had an excellent experience. Good food decent service. A little pricey but well worth it.

Indian cuisine is one of my favorites to indulge in so with that being said, I've been numerous Indian restaurants around the PNW. Taste of India has made its way to my ranks all the way into 1st place.
From the moment you step in, the aroma of spices beckons you to a culinary adventure. The menu boasts a diverse selection, from traditional favorites like tikka massala and tandoori salmon to lesser-known regional dishes like palak massala and grape leaves that surprise and satisfy. Each dish is expertly prepared, bursting with flavor and freshness.
Pairing really well with each cuisine was the basmati rice as the massala's were seasoned to perfection. We even ordered garlic naan and the plain naan which were extremely soft, pillowy and fluffy. I have never had naan like that before. Also, if you're looking for a spot with HUGE portions, this is your spot. With how flavorful the food was, everything was so addictive! We even received some delicious desserts to perfectly end the night! The desserts were Gulab Jamun, cheese cake, and a type of coconut rice pudding.
The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for intimate dinners or gatherings with friends. You have a choice between outdoors or indoors. Either of which are a great vibe. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a memorable dining experience. They are very knowledgeable about the menu and are very patient when we have any questions.
So what are you waiting for? Run, don't walk here because you are going to want to try their dishes ASAP! You don't know Indian food until you've been to Taste of India.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 682154Apr 17, 2024
FOOD 5/5; the reason I gave it a 4/5 overall is because the portions were smaller than I would've liked for the price.
FLAVORS ARE 10/10. Even the rice is super flavorful just by itself. We got medium for one and mild for the other dish, was not super spicy. I think we could've gotten hot and eaten comfortable (5 spice levels).
The tikka masala and jalfrezi meats were super tender and delicious. Would definitely order again. Also, the naan was the fluffiest I've seen so far! Tasted freshly made.
Desserts were good. The cake was by far my favorite. It was moist and slightly chewy and topped with what tasted like Hershey's syrup. The ice cream was more on the icy-side and not my favorite. The Gulab Jamun were good bites. Very hot when soaked in the syrup and melt in your mouth. Two was more than enough.
The service was quick and everyone was nice. They filled up our water so we were never empty and we never had to ask for anything. They were ready to give us boxes and the check and to get our order.
Can't wait to go back !Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Joyce W.Seattle, WA354461Apr 7, 2024Updated review
Excellent service , really delicious food.. a genuine keeper!
Pro, the staff - very friendly and quick with delivery..
Cons? The restaurant itself is not my favorite due to low ceilings..
But, they added outside seating which is really nice.
The bathrooms are small but clean.
Overall for a neighborhood restaurant it's great.. I would like to see them be in. Newer- spacious building..they deserve it!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Feb 4, 2023Previous reviewThere are so many reasons I love the restaurant. Here are just a few reasons:
1. They are locally owned.
2. The aroma you experience coming close to the restaurant is so lovely...
3. Once you sit down ; you are treated like royalty..
4. To portions of all the entrees will satisfy the biggest of appetites..
5. The music, ambiance, even the restrooms; all of the restaurant offers pure joy.. bringing you back to experience more of the tantalizing flavors of indian food.

Our favorite Indian restaurant never disappoints. The lamb coconut curry was flavorful and delicious, and the garlic na'an was fluffy and perfect. We tried the appetizer sampler with veggie samosa, veggie fritters, chicken pakora and chicken tikka. The chicken pakora was quite dry, but the rest was excellent especially the veggie samosas. They also gave free veggie pakoras to start, and then gave us free dessert (seemed to be coconut rice pudding?) which was really good as well. I also highly recommend getting their hot chai, unlimited refills!
Service is prompt and attentive, atmosphere is casual enough for our family with kids, but also a nice spot for date night too.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 19, 2024
Cute little restaurant where the service was amazing!! They gave us samosas on the house to start off and it was so crunchy and perfect. Everyone was so friendly and the restaurant had plenty of seating inside and in the patio area!
Bombay tandoori chicken wings: I wish these were spicier but damn were they delicious. Plenty of flavor and cooked to perfection:))
Butter chicken: this dish wasn't very authentic or spicy. Despite getting a 5 level spice I found it still on the blander end. It could use some more butter chicken flavor in it but good quantity and it came with rice!
Ended with some kheer and chai, both were excellent. Free refills on the chai and kheer on the house was a cherry on top! Recommend checking this place out if you are in the area:)Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - Apr 11, 2024
One of my FAVORITE places for Indian Food. The food is always great. The menu has a large selection of food so you're bound to find something you like. For appetizers I recommend the aloo pakoras. It comes with an addicting tamarind sauce. For entree do try the best butter chicken I've ever had. It's so creamy and delicious. The rice is also amazing because they season it with saffron, clove , cardamom, cumin and ghee versus just plain basmati. (So I order extra rice cuz it's THAT good). The chicken or lamb biryani is also a good option. They do also have a large selection of vegetarian options as well. If you go in the summer they don't have AC inside however they have a large shaded outside patio seating.

The curries are delicious, especially the saag paneer (4/5 stars) and the mango lamb curry (4/5 stars). However, the plain naan (3/5 stars) was very mediocre. The big point of frustration for me is the pricing - even with the code for 17% off (online), the 15% off coupon (check-in on Yelp), or the $8 off (after a purchase), all of their dishes are expensive compared to other Indian restaurants in Seattle.
That being said, the service has always been good and I've enjoyed my experiences even though I think this is not a restaurant for foodies.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 29, 2023
My daughter told me about this place. She said she heard about it a lot from her friends. So we went together to try it out. It's so so so good. You know the quality of the food is good when you ask for it to be not spicy so you can actually taste the meat and the food. I always do this to any new restaurant I go to for the first time. I wanna make sure the food taste isn't covered by all the hot spices. So they took 100/100 from me.
I got the lamb biryani. My daughter got the chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, original naan and my sister got the chicken tandoori. Holy moly everything tasted amazing.
The service was fast and super good. Even though they were super busy they were very attentive to every table.
I wanted to take a picture of the restaurant to post it here but it was full and I didn't want to invades anyone's privacy.
Go there and enjoy it and let me know what did you try please and how did you like it. I love to try different things.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Meenashree C.Seattle, WA581447Mar 29, 2024
I stopped by for lunch and this time I went for the classic mango lassi, paneer butter masala, and onion and aloo kulcha. The restaurant had a cozy, hole-in-the-wall vibe with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. It tends to get quite crowded on weekends, and parking can be a challenge with limited spots for customers. They kindly served mini samosas as a complimentary treat, a delightful departure from the usual larger ones. While the aloo kulcha was satisfyingly heavy, the onion kulcha offered a refreshing contrast of flavors. The panner butter masala was average.
